London court issues arrest warrant against Neerav Modi, can be arrested anytime:-
Nirav Modi’s main accused in the scam of more than Rs 13,000 crore in Punjab National Bank can be arrested shortly. According to the news agency, London’s Westminster Court has issued arrest warrant against Neerav Modi. According to the information, the London court issued an arrest warrant against him on the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the extradition of Diamond trader Neerav Modi.
According to officials, the court has ruled out the demand for Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the extradition of Neerav in the case of money laundering. Investigation agencies have been notified about this and soon there may be a formal arrest. After this, Modi will be presented in court where he will be able to get legal help for his bail and extradition.
Recently the diamond businessman was seen in London with changed circumstances. The CBI had demanded immediate arrest of the Interpol and the Red Corner Notice issued against the fugitive businessman from the UK administration. Agencies have long been trying to extradite Nirav Modi from Britain.
Seized assets of 4765 crores till now
According to the ED, property worth about Rs 4,765 crore has been seized so far by Nirav Modi and his uncle Mahul Choksi in the country and abroad. Only Nirav Modi and his companies have taken property tax of Rs 2215.11 crore, including bungalow, gold, diamond, gold-silver bricks, jewelry and other valuables including commercial properties.
Choksi is also absconding in this case and currently, the refugee of the Caribbean country is taking refuge in Antigua, from where the Indian government is trying to extradite him.
